Fine Dining, "Family-Style"

Join us once a month on select Friday evenings (see below) for some well-deserved quality time. Chef Rachel Klein has created kid-friendly fare and a parent's prix-fixe fit for foodies. Kids can act up while parents wind down in our impromptu romper room complete with toys, books and movies.

“We went to the kid friendly meal that Aura is now doing from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays.  This is a fantastic idea and I wish more restaurants in Boston would do it.  As parents, and foodies, we love good food and a great glass of wine.  However, with a  17 month old it is often difficult to get a babysitter and get out.  The option of bringing our son with us, having a great meal, and not worrying about him getting up and about was great.  He loved the play room and was able to co-mingle with others his age while the parents enjoyed a meal.  Great idea!” - Debra, June 19, 2009

“I Love My Boston Baby” – Friday, March 5, 2010

Anyone who’s ever tried to wrestle a carriage onto the subway knows the pure joy of living in the city with kids. Local author Kim Foley MacKinnon celebrates the launch of her new book Boston Baby: A Field Guide for Urban Parents at Aura’s Fine Dining, “Family-Style” night.

Featured in Kim’s book as “the perfect double date for two families with kids,” Aura’s FDFS combines a fun playspace for kids with a three-course fine dining experience for parents from chef Rachel Klein.

On this special night, staff from local shop, ArtBeat, will be on hand to lead kids in creative arts & crafts activities, while Kim signs copies of her new book and chats with Boston parents about the hidden, family-friendly treasures of the city.
